Ethel

Our mother, Ethel H. “Cork” Wright, went to meet our beloved earthly father, Fred Wright, and Heavenly Father at 7:20pm Thursday, August 2, 2012 surrounded by her loving and supportive family.

Ethel was born on March 23, 1927 in Alvin, IL to Frank and Maude Curry Harvey. Ethel was united in Holy Matrimony December 19, 1953 to Fred Wright. To this union, 5 children were born. Fred preceded her in death on October 18, 1991. She enjoyed reading books, cooking, cleaning and being a homemaker. Ethel took pride in caring for her family.

Ethel leaves to cherish her loving memory her children Fred (Mary) Wright of Independence, Ohio, their 5 children and 6 grandchildren; Jerry (Tina) Wright of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri along with their 2 children and 4 grandchildren, Patti (John Brigman) Coppell of Danville, their 2 children and 4 grandchildren, Bob (Sandy) Wright of LaSalle, IL along with their 2 children and 2 grandchildren, Sean Harvey of Kissimmee St. Cloud, FL and their daughter; her siblings: Dale Harvey of California, Grace Bosler of Monon, IN, Patricia Davis of Williamsport, IN, Benny Harvey of Hoopeston, Richard Harvey of Alvin, Gloria Ice and a host of other relatives and friends.

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 3 siblings: Esther Nolen, Donald Harvey and Lorena McBride. The family would like to thank Gloria Ice, Jenny Gernerd, Amy Saseen, and Yvonne Pryor, for your love and support.

A Graveside Service will commence at 11’am Tuesday August 7, 2012 at Danville National Cemetery. Leek & Sons Funeral Home 304 East Williams Street, Danville, in charge of arrangements. “Angels on your pillows, Mother.”
